Synchronik's Xtras

The Tooltip Xtra will create Windows like tooltips on rollover on any sprite. The tooltips will work even beyond the boundaries of the stage or a MIAW.
The only requirement is to place the dcr file with your project and use the behavior provided to add text to your tooltip.

09 January '04 - Update: The tooltip can accept now different fonts, styles and font sizes

06 Feb 2005: There is a new version of the ToolTip that can accept an icon
(a bitmap member) positioned in the top left corner, please contact me direct and if there is enough interest I will complete the new version and upload here.

W3D Xtractor is a free dcr Xtra tool that enables you to extract and save textures built into W3D files or cast members.

You can choose between extracting textures from any W3D file on your hard drive or from a W3D cast member.
The extracted textures can be automatically saved as jpegs internaly or exeternaly and will retain exactly their names, sizes and compressions as stored in the W3D file.

This Xtra requires the free Binary Xtra courtesy of www.XtraMania.com, the free FileXtra4 (courtesy of Ken Kersten) and FileIO (comes with Director)

Mini W3D Xtractor

Mini W3D Xtractor is a self contained application based on the W3D Xtractor Xtra engine. The only functionality available is extracting textures from external W3D files. All textures found in the W3D file will be automaticaly extracted and saved as jpeg files in the same folder where the W3D file resides.

Same as with the W3D Xtractor Xtra the textures will retain exactly their names, sizes and compressions as stored in the W3D file.

The benefit of using the Mini W3D Xtractor is that you don't need
Director or any additional Xtras and it's also free!

W3D Texture Info (beta)
(Oct '04)

This little tool will help you retreive information about textures built into a W3D cast member including if the texture contains an alpha channel.

3D Max Textures Organiser
(Sept '04)

This little tool will help you retreive all texture files used in your 3D Max file and save them in a single folder.
So next time you need to transport a 3D Max file from one machine to another (i.e. taking your work on a laptop and having a working day in a pub)
or simply retreiving these maps from your messy drive, run the tool and it will do the job for you.
